One quick question...

... as my faithful pc gets a new lease of life, as I finally get around to finishing Chox's handmade tag while wondering why dumpers must always be in plastic, and as Bejan Daruwala finally has something nice to say about my week after what seems like horror-scopes for months, I've one quick question...

CBSE, ICSE or IB and why?

CBSE would be last on my list, but then I'm prejudiced. All three have their strengths and weaknesses

NM, I studied in CBSE but I have no clue about today's schools in India. More than the medium I think you should check the school, the rating. Then choose one.

BTW Congratulations on the Deccan Herald mention! :) Saw Nino and your picture. :)

I'd say ICSE, but my knowledge is 25 years old!
From what I hear though, you still have the best options with ICSE...

Suj - thank you: this helped immensely - although the deccan herald link is not opening up now and the archives are not showing it either.

Gauri, Solilo - :) thank you.

Ra - true. last on my list too.

M - ISCE it seems, so far.

I can't believe I'm seeing this question in the blogosphere now. It's one I address daily and can probably do the spiel in my sleep!

i heart IB. except for the crazy fees. so join me when i move to canada - the state schools are excellent IB ones!

so now between CBSE and ICSE - hmm. i went to state board school and always read up borrowed textbooks from friends in of ICSE and CBSE schools. dont ask me why i did it - i dont know, no one had asked me to.

coming to my kids after we moved here - we chose the school they go to for various reasons, one f them being minimal commute time. CBSE or ICSE would not have been a factor in making a choice.

okay i've been rambling all over the place, but will click on publish anyway.

it doesnt matter. although i'd leave IB as the last option because those kids find it hard to deal with college here.

what matters at this point is student teacher ratio, if you ask me :(
